Boston

[edit]

Well I know this movie is being filmed in the Boston Area. Filming the other day was done in Brookline. Brookline is not part of Boston. This is not a big deal, just thought I would add this.

Edits

[edit]

I updated the article to include the latest announced information. The plot synopsis that was here was for the original film so I changed it to what the 2008 version is about. The film is described as a "comedy" on its official website so I changed that, too. Some of the character names were wrong (and are still wrong on IBDb, which was probably the source), so I changed them according to the film website. 209.247.22.166 (talk) 16:27, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Someone had stated that Rich and Famous was a remake of a George Cukor film, but this is not true. Rich and Famous itself was a George Cukor film... his last film, in fact. It is true that Rich and Famous was a remake, but the 1943 film that it was based on, Old Acquaintance, was directed by Vincent Sherman. Sirlizard (talk) 21:33, 13 August 2008 (UTC)SirLizard[reply]

The Character list was not complete so I updated it a little. I still may be missing some of them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Edmondson molly (talkcontribs) 15:47, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Characters

[edit]

Several of the character names in the cast list do not match the ones in the IMDb listing. 209.247.22.166 (talk) 17:15, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lesbian scene?

[edit]

(Disclaimer: I normally work with the music scene, but since I have ties to certain websites, I must insist.)

According to PalmBeachPost.com, there was supposed to be a lesbian scene between Jada and Eva that got cut from the film. Is this true? ElMeroEse (talk) 15:38, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is an interview with Jada Pinkett Smith in which she repeats some lines of her seduction of Mendes in that scene (I forget having read, or watched it on TV). I haven't yet seen the film, and had no idea it had been cut, though. Here's another interview about one of the lesbian scenes [1] --24.47.151.229 (talk) 13:01, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No female reviewers?

[edit]

For a movie that features all women, it's odd that all the reviewers quoted here are men. 98.240.208.99 (talk) 21:49, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Crystal award

[edit]

I'm a member of Women in Film so I have a potential COI and my edit was deleted but WIF did give this movie a Crystal in 2008 for helping expand the role of women in the entertainment industry if someone wants to put it back in.
